Pipes & Drum
The Pipes & Drums was founded in 1996 in Richmond, Virginia. They have grown to become the largest competition and performance bagpipe and drum band in Virginia. They now comprise over 35 bagpipers and drummers from Richmond, Charlottesville, Fredericksburg, Norfolk & Williamsburg.
The band currently fields both Grade III and Grade V competition groups, participating in competitions throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, and has finished within the top 3 places at all competitions during the 2005 through 2009 seasons. 
They provide tuition for beginner and advanced bagpipe and drum students alike, offering private lessons for beginning and intermediate students who are just starting. Many of their experienced pipers and drummers are involved in the highly successful tuition program, which has trained several of the most successful Grade II, III & IV competition pipers and drummers in the region.
